Fatal Snowmobile Accident on White Lake

There was a tragic story in the paper today about two friends killed in a fatal snowmobile accident on White Lake January 3 in Oakland County. According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, two friends were snowmobiling south of Ormond Road when they allegedly collided head-on in the darkness on the frozen lake. The Sheriff also stated that an alleged electrical malfunction caused the headlights to cease working on one of the snowmobiles, which may have contributed to the fatal accident. Police are still investigating this accident.

I am very sorry to hear about this tragic accident and offer my most sincere condolences to the families of the deceased riders for their loss.

Our Michigan snowmobile accident lawyers advise accident victims of their legal rights. For this type of motor vehicle accident in Michigan, the family members of the deceased riders may be able to make a claim for Survivor Loss Benefits. This can include payment of funeral expenses, lost wages, and loss of other services.

In addition, the snowmobile accident injury victims may also have claims for personal injuries against any driver determined to be at fault in this accident. The insurance company for the negligent driver typically pays a settlement for this type of case. In this lawsuit, the injured victims can claim damages and compensation for the injuries suffered in the accident.

Also, the family members of the deceased riders may have a claim for a Michigan wrongful death lawsuit against the driver that police determine was negligent and caused this accident.  At the very least, the surviving family members should hire the best possible lawyer to look into these possibilities.

An experienced Michigan car accident lawyer can assist the victim with this type of claim. Accident victims should not speak with the insurance adjuster for the negligent driver before consulting with an attorney.

Independence Township Bicycle Septic Tanker Accident

There was a story in the paper today about a bicyclist seriously injured in an Independence Township bicycle septic tanker accident on December 1 in Oakland County. According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, a bicyclist was trying to cross M-15 near Strawberry Lane on his bicycle when he was allegedly hit by a septic truck heading southbound. The bicyclist was rushed to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of his serious injuries. Police are still investigating this accident.

I am very sorry to hear about this tragic accident and hope the injured bicyclist has a complete and full recovery from their serious injuries.

Our Michigan car accident lawyers advise accident victims of their legal rights. For this type of auto accident in Michigan, the injured bicyclist can submit a claim for Michigan No-Fault insurance benefits. No-Fault benefits will cover his medical expenses, lost wages, attendant care, replacement services, and other benefits related to injuries suffered in the accident. The injured party can claim these benefits even if he did not have a Michigan automobile insurance policy.

For a case like this, the no-fault insurance company should pay all benefits voluntarily. The family may wish to consult with a lawyer, but probably does not need to hire a lawyer.

In addition, the car accident injury victims may also have claims for personal injuries against any driver determined to be at fault in this auto accident as well as the owner of the septic truck. The insurance company for the negligent driver typically pays a settlement for this type of case. In this lawsuit, the injured victims can claim damages and compensation for the injuries suffered in the accident.

An experienced Michigan car accident lawyer can assist the victim with this type of claim. Accident victims should not speak with the insurance adjuster for the negligent driver before consulting with an attorney.
