Pitbull Bites Flint Man In Dog Attack
There was a story in the paper today about a Flint dog bite attack. According to police, a man was walking down the street on Whitney Avenue, near South Ballenger Highway, when a pitbull jumped on his back and attacked him and bit his left arm.
I am very sorry to hear about this accident and hope the man recovers from his injuries.
Victims of dog bite injuries and attacks in Michigan do have legal rights. Owners and keepers of dogs in Michigan are strictly liable for dog bites and attacks. This means that the dog bite victim does not have to prove that the owner was negligent, only that he or she was bitten or attacked by the dog. There are also strict Michigan leash laws and Flint dog bite laws that hold the dog owner liable if their unleashed dog bites or attacks an innocent person.
