Cynthia Hiszak was struck by a boat while swimming in Bear Lake on July 30th at about 2:40 p.m.  According to police, Hiszak was swimming off her own anchored boat when another boat driven by James Jonassen struck her and then collided with her boat.  Hiszak was killed and Jonassen suffers injuries due to the boat accident.

There was a story in the paper yesterday about a jet ski accidenton Crooked Lake. The accident took place on Saturday, July 22nd, around 11:05 a.m.  According to police, a 15 year old boy was riding a Sea-Doo when he made fast right turn into the path of another jet ski ridden by his friends, injuring one friend. There was a story in the news today about a tragic St. Clair Shores boat accident that killed one man and injured six.
