Two Pitbulls Attack Young Girl In Wyoming
Our Michigan personal injury lawyers are reporting a story in the paper today about a Wyoming dog bite attack. The dog attack was a pit bull attack. According to witnesses and police, Sykler Naves was walking down Janet Street SE when two pit bulls jumped through a window, chased her down the street and attacked her. With the help of a neighbor across the street and police assistance, they were able to get the dogs off of her. The young girl was taken to the hospital and suffers dog bite injuries, including multiple dog bite marks on her hands and arms.
I am very sorry to hear about this accident and hope the young girl has a fast recovery.
Victims of dog bite injuries and attacks in Michigan do have legal rights. Owners and keepers of dogs in Michigan are strictly liable for dog bites and attacks. This means that the dog bite victim does not have to prove that the owner was negligent, only that he or she was bitten or attacked by the dog. There are also strict Michigan leash laws and Wyoming dog bite laws that hold the dog owner liable if their unleashed dog bites or attacks an innocent person.
