South Haven Snowmobile Accident

There was the story in the paper today about a woman injured in a South Haven Snowmobile accident on January 5th in Van Buren County. According to the Van Burn County Sheriff’s Office, a 21-year-old woman was riding her snowmobile on 14th Avenue, between Blue Star Highway and M-140, when she was allegedly rear-ended by another snowmobile. She suffered minor injuries when she was thrown from her snowmobile and taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police are still investigating this accident.

I am very sorry to hear about this accident and hope the woman has a complete and full recovery from her injuries with no future complications.

Snowmobile accidents can cause serious injuries to the riders, even with proper safety equipment.  A person  injured in snowmobile accident may have rights under Michigan law.   Claims for injuries can be made against a negligent operator of a snowmobile or even a landowner who has dangerous conditions on a property where an injury occurs.
