Paw Paw Pit Bull Attack Injures Child
A horrific story appeared in the news about a 10 year old Paw Paw boy who was the victim of a pit bull attack last weekend. The boy was at his Antwerp Township home when a two year old pit bull attacked him and inflicted significant wounds on his right arm. He was taken to the emergency departement and then transferred to Bronson Methodist Hospital for emergency surgeon. Unfortunately, the surgeons were not able to save the arm and removed it above the elbow.
The boy’s parents were out of town at the time of the incident and he was being “supervised” by an older brother. He was left home alone for a period of time with the dog and this is when the incident occurred. He will need rehabilitation for his injuries. At this time, it is unknown whether there will be any lawsuits filed for this incident and more information regarding the owner of the dog must be known for this determination.
