Imlay City Tractor-Car Accident Kills Tractor Driver
Russell Roszczewski, a 22-year old man, was killed in an Imlay City car accident involving a tractor on Shaw Road east of Brown City Road. The accident took place on Sunday, November 28th, around 9 a.m. According to police, Roszczewski was turning left into his driveway on his tractor when a van, who was in the process of passing him, struck him. Roszczewski was ejected from the tractor due to the impact of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the van does not suffer injuries.
I am very sorry to hear about this tragic accident. My condolences go out to the family of the deceased victim.
Our Michigan personal injury lawyers advise victims of their legal rights. For this type of car-tractor accident, the family members of the deceased victim may be able to make a claim for Survivor Loss Benefits. This can include payment of funeral expenses, lost wages, and loss of other services.
Also, the family members of the deceased may have a claim for a Michigan wrongful death lawsuit against the driver if police determine was negligent. At the very least, the family members should hire the best possible attorney to look into these possibilities.
