Bloomfield Township Home Explosion
A Bloomfield Township home explosion caused the death of an eighty-three year old woman over the weekend. This tragic accident appears to have been caused by a build up of natural gas inside the woman’s home. The explosion occurred when something ignited the build up of natural gas. The explosion blew the roof off of the house and started an intense fire.
This is a very tragic accident and my sympathies go out to this woman’s family. This serves as a reminder that natural gas is extremely dangerous material and that it is essential to ensure any work done on your home gas line is handled by competent, qualified professionals. Although it is not clear what caused this particular accident, many home accidents are caused by the negligence of the gas company or gas company employers performing work on the home.
